Marie Dorda (née Böhm) made her apprenticeship as a medical technician at the Medical school in Hannover. She started directly after school in the team for genetic therapy of Wiscott Aldrich syndrome at the department of pediatric hematology and oncology of Prof. Christoph Klein. After 4 years, Marie switched in 2011 to the research group of Prof. Tümmler in the department of pneumology. Together with Dr. Lutz Wiehlmann, she established the Solid 5500xl Next Generation Sequencing at the Medical School Hanover. Her tasks cover the complete spectrum of next generation sequencing techniques of human and microbial specimens.
